What is Fresh Start?
- Independent Study Educational Strategy
- Not a remedial nor a tutorial program
- Meet with teacher once a week
- Work on one course at a time - minimum 3 week course completion typical
- Expect 5 hours per day of at home work weekly
- Written and verbal assessment of learning
- Cannot accelerate earning credits
- 220 credits to earn home high school diploma
- May be assigned to home school or another site based on availability
- Must provide own transportation
- College prep, general education, and elective courses available
- May concurrently take up to 2 classes on home campus that are not available via independent study
- Earn additional credits in ROP, Adult Ed Learning Centers, Community College
